چکیده
PG 1159-035 is the prototype of DOV hot pre-white dwarf pulsators. It was observed during Kepler satellite K2 mission for 69 days in 59 s cadence mode and by TESS 25 20 mode. We present a detailed asteroseismic analysis those data. identify total 107 frequencies representing 32 l=1 modes, 27 12 l=2 8 combination frequencies. The modes with very high k values represent new detections. multiplet structure reveals an average splitting 4.0+/-0.4 muHz 6.8+/-0.2 l=2, indicating rotation period 1.4+/-0.1 region formation. In Fourier transform light curve, we find significant peak at 8.904+/-0.003 suggesting surface 1.299+/-0.002 days. also evidence that periods change on timescales shorter than predicted current evolutionary models. Our finds spacing 21.28+/-0.02 s. have mean 12.97+/-0.4 performed fit comparing best model has Teff=129600+/- 11100 K, mass M*=0.565+/-0.024 Msun, log g=7.41+0.38-0.54, within uncertainties spectroscopic determinations. argue future improvements models, e.g., overshooting He-burning stage, as best-fit does not predict excitation all pulsations detected PG~1159-03.

The Spectral Variability of Pulsating Stars : PG 1159 - 035
With 10m class telescopes as well as with time-tagging detectors on board of HST and FUSE, the analysis of time-resolved spectra for pulsating white dwarfs becomes feasible. We present simulated time-resolved spectra for the hot pulsating white dwarf PG 1159-035 and compare these models with observational data of the 516 s mode based on HST-STIS spectroscopy. A determination of the pulsation mo...
متن کاملAsteroseismological measurements on PG 1159−035, the prototype of the GW Vir variable stars
Aims. An asteroseismological study of PG 1159−035, the prototype of the GW Vir variable stars, has been performed on the basis of detailed and full PG1159 evolutionary models presented by Miller Bertolami & Althaus (2006). Methods. We carried out extensive computations of adiabatic g-mode pulsation periods on PG1159 evolutionary models with stellar masses spanning the range 0.530 to 0.741M⊙. Th...
متن کاملHigh-resolution ultraviolet spectroscopy of PG 1159−035 with HST and FUSE
PG 1159−035 is the prototype of the PG1159 spectral class which consists of extremely hot hydrogen-deficient (pre) white dwarfs. It is also the prototype of the GW Vir variables, which are non-radial g-mode pulsators. The study of PG1159 stars reveals insight into stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis during AGB and post-AGB phases.
متن کاملThe pulsation modes of the pre - white dwarf PG 1159 - 035
Context. PG 1159-035, a pre-white dwarf with Teff ≃ 140 000 K, is the prototype of both two classes: the PG 1159 spectroscopic class and the DOV pulsating class. Previous studies of PG 1159-035 photometric data obtained with the Whole Earth Telescope (WET) showed a rich frequency spectrum allowing the identification of 122 pulsation modes. Analyzing the periods of pulsation, it is possible to m...
متن کاملThe gravitational wave radiation of pulsating white dwarfs revisited : the case of BPM 37093 and PG 1159 - 035
We compute the emission of gravitational radiation from pulsating white dwarfs. This is done by using an up-to-date stellar evolutionary code coupled with a state-of-the-art pulsational code. The emission of gravitational waves is computed for a standard 0.6M⊙ white dwarf with a liquid carbon-oxygen core and a hydrogen-rich envelope, for a massive DA white dwarf with a partially crystallized co...
